He shot to fame as a dashing paramedic in Third Watch.
And Bobby Cannavale was almost unrecognisable as he played a sleazy used car salesman on the set of Mr Robot in New York on Tuesday.
With his geeky glasses and unflattering moustache, he looked far from the hunk fans of the 47-year-old know and love.
The actor looked quite the sight in his green suit, yellow shirt, tie and brown shoes.
Rounding off his unique look, he was wearing his hair slicked back as he loitered near his characters car.
Bobby is one of the main characters in the forthcoming third season, playing used car salesman Irving.
The show stars Christian Slater as an insurrectionist anarchist who goes by the moniker Mr. Robot.
He leads a group of hacktivists who, in a Fight Club-esque twist, aim to erase all debts by attacking E Corp, an enormous conglomerate.
Mr Robot recruits Rami Malek's Elliot Alderson, a cybersecurity engineer and hacker who suffers from anxiety and clinical depression.
Following on from the dramatic season-two finale, the new series will follow the disintegration of the relationship between Elliot and Mr. Robot. It will air in October.
The show was created by Sam Esmail, and has influences as disparate as American Psycho, Taxi Driver, A Clockwork Orange and The Matrix.
The show has been lavished with acclaim, and has won multiple awards, including the Golden Globe for Best Television Drama Series and Peabody Award.
